(1959 - 2006)
Tzotzil indigenous woman and commander of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation in the taking of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico, in 1994. She promoted the Revolutionary Women's Law of the EZLN, in defense of the rights of indigenous women.
